This includes engineers, foremen, carpenters/formsetters, labourers, apprentices and adult trainees.

John Hull graduated with honours in Civil Engineering in 1968.  He spent 3 years as a design engineer with consulting engineers GHD, three years in the mining industry as a mine planning engineer with Peko Wallsend in Tennant Creek and a further 3 years in the civil construction industry with a local contractor.  He started J F Hull in 1977 with the first contract being the Reconstruction of Cook Street Rail Bridge project  for QR with a staff of 4 people.  He has overseen the growth of the company and maintained links with our main clients such as MRD, QR,  Local Authorities, and private organisations.

   

Bruce Graham graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) in 1974 from Queensland University of Technology.  For the next 13 years worked as part of Thiess Major Projects team on Dam Projects ( Glenlyon Dam - Texas, No.8 Tailings Dam-Mt Isa, Awoonga Dam-Gladstone, Burdekin Saddle Dams-Burdekin ), Mine Expansion ( South Blackwater Mine and Woodcutters - NT ) and Freeway project ( F3 Section - Newcastle ).  He then moved to Leighton (Asia) in Hong Kong as Project Manager for two road projects at the southern end of Hong Kong Island.  Bruce joined J F Hull in 1990 and has been active in the project selection, expansion of our pre-qualification and staff development,  preparation of submissions and bid preparation for various contract delivery methods through to overseeing the daily field operation of the business.
